PNG Assembly of Disabled Persons(PNGADP)

Papua New Guinea's national cross-disability assembly, founded in Lae in 2002, that promotes and protects the rights of persons with disabilities across PNG through a network of affiliated organisations. PNGADP works toward a society where people with disabilities live as full and dignified members of Papua New Guinean communities.

PNG Assembly of Disabled Persons (PNGADP) was initiated in 2002 during a leadership training for people with disabilities in Lae, Morobe Province, where participants resolved to create a national body representing organisations of persons with disabilities in Papua New Guinea.

PNGADP advocates for national disability rights legislation aligned with the UN CRPD, coordinates member organisations, advances PNG's National Disability Policy, and promotes visibility and independent living for people with disabilities across urban and rural areas.
