The Rocky Mountain ADA Center is the federally designated ADA information, guidance, and training hub for Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming, operated by the University of Northern Colorado. It provides free ADA guidance through a staffed toll-free helpline and delivers seminars and workshops for businesses, governments, and individuals across its six-state region.
About
The Rocky Mountain ADA Center (RMADAC) is one of ten regional centres in the ADA National Network, funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to ensure consistent, expert ADA implementation nationwide. Since March 2023 it has been operated by the University of Northern Colorado, housed in Gunter Hall on the Greeley campus.
What They Do
RMADAC staffs a toll-free helpline (weekdays, 9 am–4 pm MT) with information specialists who answer ADA questions on the spot and research more complex issues at no charge. The center also delivers basic-to-advanced seminars, webinars, and customised training on the ADA and related disability laws for employers, local governments, architects, schools, nonprofits, and individuals with disabilities.
Who They Serve
Anyone in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, or Wyoming who needs guidance on ADA compliance, reasonable accommodations, accessibility design standards, or disability rights — whether they are a person with a disability, an employer, a building official, or a government agency.
