Rocky Mountain ADA Center(RMADAC)
The Rocky Mountain ADA Center is one of ten federally funded ADA National Network centres, operated by the University of Northern Colorado, providing free ADA technical assistance, training, and education across Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. It helps individuals, businesses, and government entities understand and apply the Americans with Disabilities Act.
About
Funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), the Rocky Mountain ADA Center is housed at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and is one node in the ten-centre ADA National Network serving the entire United States. It is the primary ADA resource for a six-state Rocky Mountain region.
What They Do
The Centre staffs a free technical assistance phone line on weekdays (9 a.m.–4 p.m. MT), delivers in-person and online ADA training workshops from introductory to advanced levels, provides custom consultations for businesses and government agencies, and maintains a library of ADA publications and self-paced online courses.
Who They Serve
The RMADAC serves anyone in its six-state region who needs ADA guidance: people with disabilities asserting accommodation rights, employers developing inclusive workplaces, architects designing accessible buildings, and state and local government officials implementing programme access requirements.
