About

SUSTENTO — the Latvian Umbrella Body for Disability Organisations — was founded in 2002 at Antonijas iela 24-20, Riga. It is the only national umbrella body in Latvia uniting organisations of people with disabilities and chronic diseases, and is a full member of the European Disability Forum (EDF).

What They Do

SUSTENTO represents the collective interests of its 55 member organisations before government, parliament, and the public. It works to shape disability policy, monitors CRPD implementation, and ensures people with disabilities have a meaningful voice in national decision-making. The organisation also participates in European-level advocacy through EDF.

Who They Serve

SUSTENTO serves people with physical, sensory, intellectual, and chronic health-related disabilities throughout Latvia, representing a combined membership of over 50,000 individuals through its member organisations.
