Trinidad and Tobago Disabled Peoples' International(TTDPI)
A disabled-led, registered non-profit founded on 22 June 1985 to advocate for the rights and equality of persons with disabilities in Trinidad and Tobago. As an affiliate of the global DPI network present in 159 countries, TTDPI promotes full inclusion across education, employment, healthcare, and community life, and works to remove physical, social, and systemic barriers throughout both islands.

The Trinidad and Tobago Chapter of Disabled Peoples' International (TTDPI) was established on 22 June 1985 as a duly constituted, registered non-profit managed entirely by persons with disabilities. It is affiliated with Disabled Peoples' International (DPI), a global cross-disability organisation present in 159 countries, and operates within DPI's North America and Caribbean regional network (DPI NAC).
What They Do
TTDPI advocates for legislative and policy changes that advance the rights of persons with disabilities, promotes accessibility and inclusive design across public and private spaces, and works to remove physical, social, and systemic barriers in education, employment, healthcare, and transportation. It runs community awareness initiatives and engages volunteers committed to building a fully inclusive society in Trinidad and Tobago.
