Utah Parent Center(UPC)
Founded in 1984 by parents of children with disabilities, the Utah Parent Center is Utah's federally-designated Parent Training and Information Center, providing free workshops, one-on-one coaching, and peer support to families navigating special education and disability services. Operating on a parent-to-parent model, UPC serves families of children and youth with all disability types across Utah, with services available in Spanish and other languages.

Founded in 1984 by parents of children with disabilities, the Utah Parent Center (UPC) is Utah's federally-designated Parent Training and Information Center (PTI). Funded under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), UPC has spent four decades building the knowledge and confidence of Utah families to become effective advocates for their children.
What They Do
UPC offers free one-on-one support, workshops, webinars, and printed guides to help families understand special education rights, navigate IEP meetings, access disability services, and plan for transition from school to adult life. Staff and volunteers include parents of children with disabilities who provide peer mentoring and Spanish-language services alongside multilingual outreach.
Who They Serve
UPC serves families of children and youth (birth through 26) with any type of disability or special health need across all of Utah, including families from underserved rural and Spanish-speaking communities.
