Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped(VNAH)
Founded in 1991, VNAH is a US-based non-profit that has delivered rehabilitation services, prosthetics, and assistive devices to millions of Vietnamese people with disabilities over three decades. The organisation also strengthens local disabled people's organisations and advocates for disability-inclusive policy across Vietnam.
About
Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped (VNAH) was established in 1991 as a non-political, tax-exempt charitable organisation dedicated to helping Vietnamese people with disabilities regain mobility and improve their socio-economic status. Over more than 30 years, its programmes have reached several million people across Vietnam.
What They Do
VNAH operates and equips rehabilitation centres, provides prosthetics and affordable wheelchairs, delivers vocational training, and advances national and provincial policy reform for disability inclusion. The organisation also funds and trains Vietnamese disabled people's organisations (DPOs) and disability advocates.
Who They Serve
VNAH serves Vietnamese people with physical disabilities — including war and landmine/UXO survivors — and rural communities with limited access to rehabilitation services and economic opportunity.
