About
Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped (VNAH) was established in 1991 by Vietnamese-American Ca Van Tran to help Vietnamese people with disabilities access rehabilitation, mobility aids, and economic opportunities. Based in McLean, Virginia, VNAH operates entirely in Vietnam in partnership with the Vietnamese government and international donors.
What They Do
VNAH builds and equips rehabilitation centres, trains physiotherapists and rehabilitation doctors, distributes assistive devices, and strengthens local disabled people's organisations. Current USAID-funded DIRECT and ASHA projects serve communities across the Mekong Delta provinces of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu.
