Voice of Albertans with Disabilities(VAD)
Voice of Albertans with Disabilities is a cross-disability, non-profit advocacy organization based in Edmonton that promotes accessibility, equity, and full community participation for people with all types of disabilities across Alberta. Voice of Albertans with Disabilities (VAD) is a non-profit organization headquartered at 105 Royal Alex Place in Edmonton, Alberta, guided by the principles of accessibility, equity, and inclusion. VAD was established as a cross-disability advocacy body to represent and empower Albertans with all types of disabilities in provincial and community affairs.
What They Do
VAD engages with Alberta government departments to discuss disability policy, shares accessibility information with individuals and partner organizations, raises public awareness on disability issues, and supports cross-disability collaboration across the province.
