About
Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, AbleLink has completed over 85 research and development projects in partnership with universities, rehabilitation centres, and disability organisations. Its person-centred design philosophy drives every product, and its outcomes research documents real-world gains in community independence and quality of life for adults with cognitive disabilities.
What It Does
The AbleLink suite includes WayFinder, a GPS-guided community-travel app with audio cues; the Smart Living Desktop, which provides a simplified interface for web browsing, email, and media; the Visual Impact app for step-by-step task prompting using photos and video; the Endeavor app for goal tracking and scheduling; and ATLAS, a cognitively accessible survey and data-collection system. The Smart Living Service subscription bundles all these tools with initial assessment, device setup, and ongoing staff support from AbleLink specialists.
Who It Helps
Primarily serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, dementia, and acquired cognitive impairments. It is used by supported-living providers, vocational rehabilitation programmes, and day-support services to promote community mobility, employment, and daily-living independence.
