About this resource

About

Bellman & Symfon is a Swedish assistive technology company with decades of experience designing alerting and signalling devices for people with hearing loss. Their Visit Smart Home System is one of the most widely used modular home alerting platforms in the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, sold across North America and Europe.

What It Does

The Visit system pairs wireless transmitters — each detecting a specific event such as a doorbell press, smoke detection, phone ring, or motion — with receivers placed around the home. Receivers trigger bright LED strobes, loud audible alerts, and/or a bed-shaker vibration pad. The system is fully modular, allowing users to expand coverage room by room without any Wi-Fi configuration or app setup.

Who It Helps

Bellman & Symfon products are designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals of all ages who need reliable home safety and awareness alerts that do not depend on hearing. Devices are also used in seniors' assisted-living and care settings.
