About
SuperNova is developed by Dolphin Computer Access, a UK-based assistive technology company with over three decades of experience serving blind and low-vision users. It integrates screen magnification, screen reading, and braille output in a single Windows application with a unified settings interface. A free 30-day trial is available for download from the Dolphin website.
What It Does
SuperNova magnifies on-screen content from 1.2× to 64× using True Fonts rendering that eliminates the jagged edges common in other magnification software. Its built-in speech engine reads documents, emails, and web pages aloud in natural voices, and the Scan & Read feature converts printed materials scanned through a connected scanner into spoken text. The software supports over 60 braille displays from all major manufacturers, making it a complete access solution for deafblind users as well.
Who It Helps
SuperNova serves people who are blind, have low vision, or are deafblind who need an integrated Windows access solution. Different licence tiers — Magnifier, Magnifier with Speech, and full Magnifier & Screen Reader — allow users to choose the level of access they need.
