About this resource

About

Good Karma Applications created First Then Visual Schedule to bring the evidence-based practice of visual scheduling — recognised by the National Clearinghouse on Autism Evidence and Practice as one of 28 proven autism interventions — into an affordable, portable format. The HD version works across iPhone and iPad.

What It Does

Caregivers can select from the app's built-in artwork, upload personal photos, or search the internet for images to create highly personalised boards. Schedule types include first-then pairs, multi-step daily schedules, task analyses, and social stories. Voice recordings let familiar voices narrate each step for additional comfort and comprehension.

Who It Helps

Primarily children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and communication needs who rely on visual supports to understand routines, navigate transitions, and build independence. Also used by speech-language pathologists and special-education teachers.
