About
LetMeTalk is developed and maintained by Appnotize UG and sustained through community donations. It is open-source, fully offline, and widely deployed in schools, hospitals, and homes around the world — particularly in settings where commercial AAC tools are unaffordable or unavailable.
What It Does
Users construct sentences by sequencing images from a built-in library of over 9,000 ARASAAC symbols, which are then spoken aloud by the device's text-to-speech engine. The app works entirely offline, requires no account or internet connection, and supports more than 16 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Russian, and Chinese. Users can personalise the image library with their own photos and store frequently used phrases for quick access.
Who It Helps
LetMeTalk supports individuals with autism, aphasia, speech apraxia, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other communication impairments across all ages. Its free, offline, multilingual design makes it particularly valuable in low-resource environments including under-resourced schools, hospitals, and developing country contexts.
