About
Lingraphica has been developing AAC technology specifically for people with aphasia for over 30 years, building their approach around the distinct communication profile of the condition. Their research-driven design uses icons that pair images, written words, and audio simultaneously to help users bypass the language barriers that characterise aphasia.
What It Does
The TouchTalk and TouchTalk Plus devices are dedicated speech-generating tablets built around an icon-based navigation system that does not require literacy to operate. The company provides a dedicated insurance funding team to assist users through Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and commercial insurance processes — the vast majority of US users report paying nothing out-of-pocket. Free companion apps for caregivers and SLPs and online speech therapy software are also available.
Who It Helps
Lingraphica serves adults with aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, and primary progressive aphasia — primarily those who have experienced stroke, traumatic brain injury, or progressive neurological disease. Care partner guides and SLP training materials are included to support the broader treatment team.
