LUCI is a hardware and software system developed after over 25,000 hours of user testing in collaboration with clinicians and wheelchair users. An FDA-registered Class I device, LUCI attaches to existing power wheelchairs and adds intelligent safety sensing without replacing the chair or its controls.
LUCI adds 360-degree environmental sensing—stereo vision cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and radar—automatically slowing the chair before obstacles, drop-offs, or tipping hazards. The MyLuci smartphone app lets users and caregivers monitor seat pressure data, set geofence boundaries, and review daily chair usage history over time.
Adults and children who use power wheelchairs, particularly those with limited motor control such as people with cerebral palsy, ALS, muscular dystrophy, or spinal cord injury. It is especially valuable for users who benefit from an additional safety layer and for caregivers monitoring wheelchair use remotely.
The Urban Xplorer is a lightweight, adjustable folding white cane made from aerospace aluminium, designed for blind and low-vision users navigating city environments. It comes in four sizes (Small through X-Large) and features a redesigned dome tip, hardened aluminium joints, and a foam grip. The cane is built to handle common urban obstacles such as cobblestones, sewer grates, and uneven sidewalks.

TAMI is a wearable assistive device designed for blind and vision-impaired users that integrates obstacle detection technology into a modern glasses frame.
