About this resource

About

PrAACtical AAC was founded in 2011 by SLP professors Carole Zangari and the late Robin Parker at Nova Southeastern University. It has grown into one of the most trusted AAC knowledge-sharing platforms for English-speaking practitioners worldwide, publishing daily since its launch.

What It Does

The site publishes daily posts covering AAC strategies, research summaries, product reviews, video tutorials, and implementation ideas. Content is organised into the AAC e-Tool Box, Strategies of the Month, and extensive tagged archives. A newsletter delivers content directly to subscribers at no cost.

Who It Helps

Speech-language pathologists, special educators, paraprofessionals, and family members who support nonspeaking children and adults. Content addresses AAC for autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, aphasia, and many other conditions — from early intervention through adult services.
