About this resource

About

Proloquo2Go is developed by AssistiveWare and is trusted by speech-language pathologists, schools, and families worldwide as a gold-standard iOS AAC solution. Hundreds of thousands of nonspeaking individuals use the app daily as their primary voice.

What It Does

Users communicate by selecting symbols that produce natural-sounding text-to-speech voices in multiple languages and accents. Layout options range from 9 to 144 buttons per page, accommodating a wide range of fine-motor abilities. Built-in grammar support, a grid keyboard, and word prediction assist users in developing expressive language and literacy skills. Over 100 voices are available at no additional cost.

Who It Helps

Proloquo2Go is widely used by individuals with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, apraxia of speech, aphasia, and traumatic brain injury. It supports all ages and literacy levels—from early communicators using core symbols to experienced AAC users constructing complex multi-word utterances—and is a frequent first recommendation from AAC specialists.
