About
The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to improving quality of life for people living with paralysis and advancing spinal cord injury research. Its National Paralysis Resource Center (NPRC) is a federally funded programme providing free information and one-on-one specialist support to anyone affected by paralysis.
What It Does
The NPRC offers a free 442-page Paralysis Resource Guide (available in print, digital, and multiple languages), a freephone helpline staffed by trained information specialists, and an online library covering power wheelchairs, adaptive driving, environmental controls, smart home technology, home modification, and assistive devices. Spanish-language support is available.
Who It Helps
People of all ages living with paralysis from any cause—spinal cord injury, stroke, MS, ALS, cerebral palsy—and their families and care providers. The NPRC is also a first-call resource for anyone newly diagnosed with a paralysis-causing condition seeking guidance on mobility technology and independent living.
