About this resource

About

Founded in 2007 by a group of independent mobility van dealers, The Mobility Resource was created to ensure that people with disabilities could access reliable information and qualified dealers when purchasing adaptive vehicles and equipment. All dealers in its network hold NMEDA's Quality Assurance Program (QAP) accreditation, the industry's highest quality standard.

What It Does

The site offers in-depth guides on wheelchair accessible minivans and SUVs, hand controls, swivel seating, scooter lifts, and vehicle conversions. A dealer-locator tool, OEM rebate calculator, and Mobility Solutions Tool help users narrow down the right equipment for their needs and find a certified local installer. The platform also maintains a searchable inventory of new and pre-owned accessible vehicles.

Who It Helps

Wheelchair users, people with physical disabilities, and seniors seeking transparent information about accessible vehicle options, adaptive driving equipment, or manufacturer rebate programmes. Families of disabled children needing wheelchair accessible transportation will also find the dealer network and buyer guides useful.
