About this resource

About

ZoomText, developed by Freedom Scientific (a Vispero company), has been the gold standard for screen magnification software for over three decades. It is widely deployed in schools, workplaces, and homes worldwide.

What It Does

ZoomText magnifies screen content from 1× to 60× in smooth increments, offering multiple zoom window types including Full, Overlay, Lens, Line, and Docked views. Its xFont® technology renders sharp, legible text at any magnification level. The Magnifier/Reader edition adds AppReader and DocReader for high-quality text-to-speech in over 70 voices, letting users follow along on screen while listening.

Who It Helps

ZoomText is designed for people with low vision conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and retinitis pigmentosa. It supports students, professionals, and older adults who need to use a computer but cannot comfortably read standard-sized text.
