About this resource

About

64 Ounce Games exists to solve a specific problem: popular hobby board games are almost never designed with blind players in mind, yet the games themselves are perfectly enjoyable once the information barrier is removed. The store bridges that gap by creating supplemental accessibility kits for specific titles.

What It Does

Each kit contains braille card overlays, printed reference sheets of all card text, and assembly instructions, enabling blind players to read their hand independently and participate on equal terms with sighted players. Some kits for text-heavy games include QR codes so screen-reader users can privately access card information without assistance. Kits slot into the existing retail box and do not replace the base game.

Who It Helps

Blind and visually impaired hobby board game enthusiasts; mixed-ability gaming groups wanting to include a blind or low-vision member; educators or recreation therapists seeking inclusive classroom or activity options.
