About this resource

About

Founded in 1978 and located at 909 Santa Fe Drive, Access Gallery has been a fixture of Denver's arts community for more than four decades. Affiliated with Easterseals Colorado, the gallery serves nearly 2,000 adults with disabilities and their families each year and participates in Denver's monthly First Friday art walks on Santa Fe.

What It Does

Access Gallery runs three integrated programmes: a professional public gallery where artists with disabilities exhibit and sell original work; an inclusive community studio where participants develop skills across visual arts media; and a creative enterprise connecting artists with paid commissions from businesses and individuals for graphic design, murals, and corporate art. An online shop lets visitors purchase original artwork directly.

Who It Helps

Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Colorado seeking professional arts opportunities, a path to earned income from creative work, and an inclusive studio community in the heart of Denver's art district.
