About this resource

About

Access Rating is a UK-based disability accessibility review app designed to give disabled people a reliable, community-powered source of venue accessibility information. Now in its fourth major version, the app has grown to cover a broad range of venue types across the UK and continues to expand its community database through user submissions.

What It Does

Users can search for nearby venues and view accessibility ratings and reviews submitted by other disabled users, covering aspects such as step-free entrances, accessible restrooms, hearing loops, and staff awareness. Travelers can also submit their own reviews to help the community. Version 4.0 extended coverage to music venues, sports stadiums, and airports in addition to the existing restaurant, cafe, and retail categories.

Who It Helps

Access Rating serves disabled adults with a wide range of impairments—including mobility, sensory, and hidden disabilities—who want honest, disability-informed accessibility ratings before visiting a venue. The app is especially useful for planning event attendance, navigating airports, or exploring unfamiliar areas of the UK.
