About this resource

About

Accessible Arts is New South Wales' peak organisation for arts, culture, and disability, established in 1986 to advance the rights and opportunities of d/Deaf and disabled people in professional arts practice and community arts participation. The organisation actively runs mentorships, residencies, sector training, and an accessible arts directory each year.

What It Does

Accessible Arts delivers the Next Level Creative Mentorship programme—pairing emerging disabled artists with leading performing arts organisations—along with funded Bundanon residencies, training sessions for arts organisations on inclusion and access, and the Choose Art directory, where anyone can search for accessible arts programs and events across NSW by art form, location, and access need.

Who It Helps

d/Deaf and disabled artists in New South Wales pursuing professional careers in the arts, arts organisations seeking to improve disability inclusion, and community members looking for accessible creative activities and events.
