About this resource

About

Accessible Gaming Quarterly was launched in 2020 under the banner of Accessible Games—a project built on the belief that games are for absolutely everyone. The zine gives disabled tabletop gamers, designers, and advocates a platform to share perspectives and practical knowledge with the wider hobby community, operating independently of any publisher or retailer.

What It Does

Each issue features accessible game design essays, reviews of titles with strong disability-inclusive features, personal accounts of gaming with a range of disabilities, and guidance for game masters on accommodating players with different access needs. The Accessible Games site also hosts Survival of the Able, a survival horror RPG written by blind designer Jacob Wood and built on the Fudge System.

Who It Helps

Disabled tabletop gamers seeking community, representation, and practical play advice. Game designers and publishers wanting to incorporate disability-led perspectives into accessible design, and game masters looking to better support players at their tables, also benefit from each issue.
