About this resource

About

Conscious Crafties is a worldwide online marketplace and community dedicated to celebrating talented crafters living with disabilities, chronic illness, or caring for loved ones. The platform was founded to give disabled makers a dedicated, supportive place to sell handmade goods and connect with peers, and is now run by Karen and Sharon.

What It Does

Conscious Crafties allows disabled and chronically ill crafters to open a shop and sell handmade goods and creative services globally. Buyers can browse and purchase directly from disabled makers across a wide range of crafts. The community also provides peer connection, visibility, and mutual support for artisans who may face barriers participating in mainstream marketplaces.

Who It Helps

People with disabilities, chronic illness, or caring responsibilities who want to earn income from creative work and handmade crafts, as well as shoppers who want to intentionally support disabled makers.
