About this resource

About

CRIPtic Arts operates across the United Kingdom as a fully disabled-led organisation, centring the leadership and lived experience of Deaf and disabled people in all its work. Described by The Evening Standard as "one of the country's most influential and outstanding disabled-led creative organisations," CRIPtic has grown into a central hub of the UK disability arts movement.

What It Does

CRIPtic runs a structured artist development programme with four strands — Reach, Launchpad, Breakthrough, and Incubate — designed to support artists at different career stages with mentorship, peer networks, and professional skills. It produces the annual Liberty Festival celebrating disabled artists in London, and maintains an online hub where disabled creatives can find community, calls for submissions, funding information, and career development resources.

Who It Helps

Deaf and disabled artists and creatives in the United Kingdom across all disciplines — performance, visual arts, writing, music, spoken word, and more — who want professional development support, community connection, and greater visibility for their work in mainstream arts contexts.
