About this resource

About

CRIPtic Arts is a disabled-led arts development organisation based in the United Kingdom and one of the country's most prominent advocates for Deaf and disabled creatives. Funded by Arts Council England and other bodies, CRIPtic provides structured career development pathways for disabled artists at every stage of their career.

What It Does

CRIPtic delivers a suite of artist development programmes: Reach (for emerging creatives new to arts), Launchpad (for artists developing their first professional work), Breakthrough (for mid-career artists scaling up), and Incubate (for experienced cultural leaders). The organisation also produces the annual Liberty Festival, a flagship disability arts event. All artist programmes are free to participants.

Who It Helps

CRIPtic Arts serves Deaf and disabled creatives across the United Kingdom, spanning all art forms — visual art, writing, performance, music, and more. Programmes are available at no cost to participants, funded through grants from Arts Council England and partner organisations.
