About this resource

About

Founded by Sébastien Archambeaud, whose son uses a wheelchair, Handiscover was built to solve the chronic problem of misleading or absent accessibility information on mainstream accommodation platforms. The company has received EU Innovation Council grant funding and has assessed over 100,000 properties globally for genuine accessibility.

What It Does

At the start of every search, users select their mobility level from clearly defined categories. Handiscover filters results to show only accommodation matching those requirements. A built-in messaging feature lets guests communicate directly with hosts about specific needs before confirming a booking. Properties are independently certified by Handiscover against detailed accessibility criteria covering bedroom, bathroom, and common-area access.

Who It Helps

Wheelchair users, people with mobility impairments, and disabled travellers who have been let down by inaccurate accessibility claims on mainstream booking websites.
