About

Move United has a 70-year history of advancing adaptive sport in the United States. Founded in 1967 as Disabled Sports USA, the organisation rebranded in 2020 to reflect a broader, more inclusive vision. Their network of 251 chapters is the largest community adaptive sports infrastructure in the country, and their programmes span everything from wheelchair football to adaptive shooting leagues.

What It Offers

  • Sport and recreation programmes: Recreation-level and competitive opportunities across dozens of adaptive sports, accessible through local member chapters
  • USA Wheelchair Football League and Adaptive Shooting League: Sanctioned national competition programmes
  • Free online fitness classes: Virtual programming accessible to anyone with internet access
  • Move United Magazine: A publication covering adaptive sports news, athlete profiles, and resources
  • Redefining Disability Podcast: Audio content exploring sport, identity, and disability
  • Wounded warrior programmes: Dedicated support for injured service members and their families

Who It's For
