About
Established in 1994 at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, the National Arts and Disability Center (NADC) is a federally funded resource dedicated to expanding access and opportunity for people with disabilities across all arts disciplines in the United States.
What It Does
Provides free online resources, consultation, and technical assistance to artists with disabilities, disability organisations, and arts institutions nationwide. Administers competitive Arts and Accessibility Grants for California-based artists and organisations, and delivers training workshops on inclusive arts programming and access best practices.
Who It Helps
Artists of all disability types seeking careers or participation in the arts, as well as arts organisations, educators, and policy makers working to improve disability inclusion in cultural settings across the country.
