About this resource

About

Oregon Adaptive Sports (OAS) was founded in 1996 when community members came together to create ski access for their neighbours with disabilities. Based in Bend, Oregon, OAS has grown to serve more than 400 unique individuals each year with high-quality adaptive outdoor experiences across multiple seasons.

What It Does

Winter programming centres on adaptive alpine skiing, snowboarding, and Nordic cross-country skiing at Mt. Bachelor and Hoodoo ski resorts, with cutting-edge equipment including bi-skis for full-support sitting, mono-skis, and three- and four-track stand-up configurations. OAS also operates CamPAH!, a Deaf-centric programme for Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth aged 10–19. Grant programmes help reduce financial barriers for participants.

Who It Helps

Children and adults with physical, sensory, cognitive, and developmental disabilities. Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth have dedicated programming, and financial grants are available to ensure broad access.
