About
Outdoors for All Foundation was incorporated in 1979 — originally as the Ski for All Foundation — after fifteen children with disabilities began learning to downhill ski at The Summit at Snoqualmie, Washington. The name was later changed to reflect the organisation's expansion into year-round programming. It is one of the largest adaptive recreation nonprofits in the Pacific Northwest.
What It Does
Winter programming includes adaptive downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing at Snoqualmie Summit and Stevens Pass. The year-round calendar adds adaptive cycling (with one of the largest adaptive bike fleets in the country), kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, water skiing, camping, and summer day camps. All programmes are delivered with the support of trained volunteers.
Who It Helps
Children and adults with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities across the Pacific Northwest. No prior experience is required; the foundation designs each programme to be welcoming to first-time participants and experienced athletes alike.
