About this resource

About

Sitting Fit Yoga is run by Nina Boswell Brown, a paraplegic yoga instructor and Accessible Yoga Ambassador who completed Advanced Chair Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Vista Academy. Nina created the platform to provide a friendly, welcoming space where wheelchair users can practise yoga adapted specifically to their needs.

What It Does

The platform hosts free weekly live online yoga classes every Wednesday, guiding participants through breathing exercises, a gentle warm-up, and adapted yoga poses. Sessions run approximately 55 minutes and close with a Q&A. No prior yoga experience is required and all classes are held via Zoom, making them accessible from anywhere.

Who It Helps

Wheelchair users and people with mobility disabilities seeking a free, peer-led introduction to adapted yoga. Particularly accessible for people living with spinal cord injuries, paralysis, or chronic pain who want to explore movement and mindfulness in a welcoming community setting.
