About
Sociability was created by and for the disability community to solve the difficulty of finding genuinely accessible social spaces. The app combines professional accessibility surveys with community-contributed data and runs Community Map Days — events where local disabled reviewers assess venues in person — to keep information accurate and growing.
What It Does
Users search for accessible venues near them and filter results by specific access needs: step-free entry, accessible toilets, hearing loops, quiet spaces, good lighting, and more. Each listing includes photos, detailed access notes, and multi-dimensional accessibility ratings. The in-app community feed lets users share recommendations and real experiences.
Who It Helps
Sociability serves wheelchair users, people with sensory disabilities, neurodivergent individuals who need quiet or low-stimulation spaces, and anyone in the UK disability community looking for social venues that will genuinely work for their access needs.
